You do not need to be sporty to benefit from a Sports Massage. The description just indicates that a deeper form of massage is carried out when compared to the gentler forms of massage that exist.
A Sports Massage is not just for treating injuries, it can be successfully used to locate and pin-point issues before they occur. Specific injury-sites and scar tissue can be located and loosened thus helping the body heal more effectively. Additionally, the body’s internal drainage system – The Lymphatic System – may also be allowed to function more effectively in removing metabolic by-products.
Matt may also use percussive massage machines, and a highly-effective myofascial release tool that breaks down tight areas and scar tissue. Towels are provided.
Session length is usually 60 minutes, but 30 minutes might suffice for back and shoulders for example. Other session times can be catered for and priced per your needs.
