The aim of Physiotherapy is to help restore normal movement and function following injury, operations, and pain/problems building up over time. Assessment, diagnosis, and specific treatment plans tailored exactly to your needs, are at the centre of this process.
Here are some conditions or problems physiotherapy can help with. It is not a definitive list, but it will help give you an idea…
Slips › trips › falls › fractures › sports injury › sprains › strains › tears › sciatica › disc problems (slipped disc/prolapsed disc) › stiff back › whiplash › back pain › neck pain › shoulder pain › rotator cuff problems › tennis elbow › golfer’s elbow › hip pain › runner’s knee › knee pain › ankle pain › walking pain › heel pain › joint pain › arthritis › weakness › stamina › stiffness › bad posture › posture at work › sporting techniques › sports injury rehab› hobby techniques › driving position › workstation environment (e.g. chair, desk, computer set up) › home safety › falls prevention › mobility aids › care homes › residential homes › footwear › etc, etc.
A Physiotherapy treatment plan is specific to your problem, no–one else. If Physiotherapy exercises or stretches are needed, a tailored plan using real pictures to help demonstrate them is used. No need to get confused with stick diagrams and pre-printed text again!
Don’t forget, I can use Deep Tissue Massage/Sports Massage as a core Physio treatment. Some find this preferable to daily stretches and exercises, but it does depend on the individual’s needs.
Because I am a Mobile Physiotherapist and therefore come to you, your lifestyle and your environment (home, work, sport, or hobby) mean much more to me because I will see it for myself. In my own experience this is a much nicer way to recall people, than when people walk in to a regular clinic setting.
Using a Mobile Physiotherapist and Sports Massage Therapist in Berkshire (Ascot, Bracknell, Maidenhead, Windsor, and Wokingham) is the ultimate in convenient home therapy. I firmly believe that today’s forward-thinking individuals require this kind of service. My existing clients can attest to this. However, to cater for everyone’s needs, and because my business is still continuing to grow, I am having a treatment room built at home. I am hoping the treatment room will be ready by January 2010.
